- FIFS organised India’s 1st Annual Sports Gaming Conference in Mumbai on February 22, 2018. The event brought operators, investors, venture capitalists, legal advisors, policymakers, consultants, and media on a common platform
- Mr. Harsh Jain, Chairman of FIFS, inaugurated the event, while the theme address was delivered by Mr. Ranjan Chatterjee, former Chief Secretary, Meghalaya, and Former Member, National Green Tribunal. They both emphasised on the how the sports gaming industry is poised for phenomenal growth in the near future
- The event also witnessed the unveiling of “The Laws Relating to Fantasy Sports Games in India”- India’s first report on the legal landscape of Fantasy Sports by Sports Law & Policy Centre (SLPC)
